DALHOUSIE CASTLE EDINBURGH WEDDING : DESTINY + BOBBY
DESTINY + BOBBY
This wedding was full of firsts. My first American couple, first wedding where it's just the four of us, first artificial bouquet, first bride to kick off her heels during our amble around the grounds, and the first time the officiant didn't utter those iconic words "You may now kiss the bride."
I absolutely loved having all these firsts, but must admit that that last one threw me off. It didn't go unnoticed by Destiny and Bobby either. Thankfully, as it was just the four of us, I quickly stepped in and delivered the line with camera at the ready. Needless to say, they kissed.
Destiny and Bobby, thank you for the honour of witnessing your marriage, it really was a true privielge and one I'll forever remember. Before we met, I wondered if a party of four would lack that excitement and sense of occassion that all other weddings I shoot have. I couldn't have been more wrong. Your day was bursting with life and love, and exuded romance and spontaneity! It was a day that took on a life of it's own and was much more than the sum of it's parts. I just want to thank you for allowing me to be one of them! Kx
Destiny looking absolutely stunning with artificial bouquet in hand. Perfect floral solution when you are flying straight from the states. Pack it in your suitcase and et voila, a ready made bouquet!
The moment when I announced that Bobby may now kiss Destiny. Followed by them laughing about it.
Destiny kicks off her heels at we start our couple shoot - I love her for doing this, it reflects her confidence and playfulness, and when it came to gravely grounds, Bobby was more than happy to swoop her off her feet.
I'm not sure this barley field is part of the Dalhousie grounds, we may have jumped a fence to get to it, but when a backdrop looks like a sea of gold, I can't resist.
