LUCY + ANDY
It was just a quiet night in our flat - a total surprise for me, no big showcase but really special as it was one of our last nights together in our first home, before moving into our new place the following week. After being welcomed home to champagne, a sparkly-clean flat and a beautifully cooked meal by Andy, I finally got what all the fuss was about when he got down on one knee...after a good few minutes of tears (and inspection of the ring!) he got the ‘yes’!
I met with Lucy and Andy at Queen Street Gardens, Edinburgh, a gorgeous and tranquil garden in the heart of the city. It's the perfect place to take time out from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the simple things in life.
The garden is reserved for local residents, there's quite a few dotted around the city and they're always such peaceful places. They make the best reading spots and you get the feeling that you've fallen upon a hidden gem - you're own little secret garden.
Andy found this stunning art deco ring in an antique jewellers in Perth. It's from the 1930s and in its second life! I love jewellery that has a story and history behind it, especiallly when it's a significant piece like this.
